Donna says we need to take matters into our own hands and right the wrongs. This bill will make our neighborhoods safer by helping to reduce crimes like burglary and petty theft. Also people using these types of services will also know they are getting a fair deal.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:
Section 1. Section 44-1602, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended to read:
44-1602. Requirements of dealers of precious items; violation; classification
A. Each dealer shall keep for six months from the date of purchase of a precious item and make available on request of a peace officer:
1. The name, current address, date of birth and signature of the person from whom the item was purchased.

CARMEN WHITE, A FRIEND OF THIS COMMUNITY
PASSED AWAY YESTERDAY
Yesterday afternoon Carmen White passed away. Carmen was one of those special people who believed in being involved in her community. She was a shining example of how just one person can make a difference in our society. Carmen was the head of her Block Watch group. She was always performing public and private services that were good for Maryvale and the greater community. She always had a warm smile and she spoke in her soft but intelligent and compassionate manner. She was also known as a great cook. This community and the whole world is a better place because of Carmen White. She is greatly missed by her family and her many-many friends. Our thoughts and our prayers go out to her wonderful and loving family who were by her side when she passed away.
